Meeting the challenges: Reflections on Narrative therapy in South Africa

 Aim of the conference

To gather the local narrative therapy community for three days of reflection, celebration and learning.

  • To stimulate new interest in and introduce more colleagues to narrative practices.
  • To provide local and overseas colleagues the opportunity to present their work and make visible the many possibilities that narrative therapy hold for a diversity of contexts, people and challenges.


Two pre-conference workshops on 16 August 2017 presented by Stephen Madigan (Foundations of Narrative Therapy), David Nylund (Narrative Therapy and Gender and Sexuality) to choose from.

Conference on 17 & 18 August with key-note presentations and parallel sessions

Invitation to present in parallel sessions

Your presentation time is 50 minutes (including 10 minutes for questions). You may also choose to have more discussion or participation during your 50 minutes presentation. The language of the conference is English.
