Somerset West, 26 February 2016

Working with relationships that experience conflict, injury or disappointment is never easy. Therapists often find themselves drawn into unwanted roles like that of a moral judge or expert who has to make a diagnosis about the parties. Narrative Therapy offers ways in which therapists can position themselves as well as practices that move conversations away from these individualized views of relationship work. By joining couples in viewing their relationship and its challenges, history, strengths and hopes therapists can serve these relationships optimally. For this workshop which focuses on the application of Narrative Therapy on relationship work a sound understanding and previous exposure to Narrative Therapy will be required and assumed.
