Elize Morkel – Somerset West

The Narrative Therapy consultation groups have been meeting monthly for supervision and training with Elize Morkel since 2002.  These groups provide on-going contact with the ideas and practices that inform Narrative Therapy and an opportunity to network with colleagues who work in this way. It is a very good follow-up on the Narrative Intensive workshop. In 2023 we had two groups consisting of 9 members each that met on a Wednesday morning and Thursday morning respectively. Meetings take place at my house in Erinvale Golf Estate Somerset West. Both groups meet from 09h00-11h00 once a month on dates scheduled by me. You will receive the dates for 2024 as soon as you register. You also need to indicate if you are unable to attend a specific day of the week (Wednesday or Thursday).

I prepare reading material for each session which we discuss in the groups. Group members guided me regarding themes that they would like to focus on for 2024. Participants take turns to bring examples of their therapeutic work for consultation or to illustrate application of the narrative ideas that we share.   

Meetings: 9 times per year for 2 hours

Fees: R 4 140 (for the year) Participants are expected to commit and pay for the year even if they are unable to attend all the meetings.
